I haven't followed this thread closely, so pardon me if this information is
repeat.
http://home.comcast.net/~t.ressel/walsh.html is Tim Ressel's site Walsh
page, on this page, he announces that he developed a CPLD which cranks out
"the first" 31 Walsh functions from a single square wave input. I would
imagine that 31 VCAs would be needed to control the amplitudes
programmatically. If the price ($20.00) stated is still valid and if he
has them for sale, this could be a way to go to make a Walsh synth in hardware.
I'm only guessing here, but I would think that 31 Walsh functions would be
similar in resolution to a 31 bit DAC. Those who know: please educate
me/us if that is not true.
