Hi Dennis, Tiago, and list,
I must say this is not really related, but hear me out on this one.
I vaguely remember that I posted a reply earlier about using
sony-Playstation-controller-joysticks as err, joysticks.. Which is a
nice idea really. Insidfe these controlers, things are controlled by
10K linear pots, pretty standard sized ones too.
But then a new thing popped up. Why not use an arcade controller.
And i hear you think "arcarde controller, where's ths coming from?"
Well, I'm a sucker for old, retro, big, heavy arcade machines.
I think this also has an influence in why I like analog synths more
then the "super, all integrated, digital music generation studio thingy".
Cheating a bit, I searched the internet for Arcade controllers that can be
plugged into a pc. This came up:
http://www.quasimoto.com/
It's a company that makes arcade cabinets/controllers.
According to the video-review of www.retroblast.com, One of their products,
the quasICON, uses 4 analog joysticks, and a bunch of "analog buttons"..
(buttons sensitive to 256 levels of pressure!)

If you are solely looking for a "dual potentiometer on a stick"-o-thing, this
might be overkill, but if you're like me, and enjoy "modding" stuff for musical
application, this might be a good idea to brainstorm on.
just my 2 cents
Greetings, Jaco
