Sounds like a great place!  Where is it, exactly?  I used to live in The Valley (now in O.C.), but never heard of it. 

I do know what people mean about quakes.  I lived about 5 miles from the epicenter during the '94 Northridge quake.  A couple of days after the quake I was in an Egghead Software on Ventura Blvd when a 5.0 aftershock hit.  I thought I was going to be killed by falling boxes of Microsoft Windows!   Instead, Windows it's just slowly killing me a little bit, day-by-day...

Also, for those who know New York City/Museum of Natural History, as a kid, I was always scared that the 90-foot blue whale model would fall on me when I was standing under it.
