Apex is a great place to get hurt in ;-)
I wouldn't want to be in there during an earthquake.

For those that don't know, Apex is a surplus place in the San
Fernando Valley of Los Angeles.
They have a huge amount of electronic devices and boxes (often
unmarked) stacked about 15 ft high through a mini maze of aisles.
Going there is like going on an Easter egg hunt with goodies stuffed
in boxes tucked away in nooks and crannies. Some wonderful things
sometimes, though you're at the mercy of the person manning the
counter to set the prices. I once bought 1000 nos 1/4" switchcraft
enclosed jacks, w/switch (112A) for .25 ea. Mouser has them now, at
that quantity, for $1.18 ea.
Another time I asked the price of an old 5mhz scope.
Some really old Eico or whatever and was told $1200.
You never know.

Anyways, I moved too far away from them and they aren't online, I don't think.
Helps if you speak Russian too.

Here's something you probably *won't* find in Apex: ;-)
