Not a lot of info here Bill.

Do you have any indication that any of the program that you put in the unit
is working (ie does the hardware work)?

Did you program the MSSP and clocks correctly for SPI?

You have to get the MSSP port programmed correctly before anything will
happen.

  I'm using a microhip spi digital potentiometer..  i'm sending data as
follows

  CS high > low
  write command byte (00010001)
  write data byte
  cd low > high

  and nothing is working..   what am i missing?    i'm sending the data from
a pic18f

  please help
