[sdiy] Best way to limit control voltage

Well, I did just look at Jims Control voltage splitter:

Hey, that's a nice little circuit, but way more than what I am looking for.
I did not see a project on Jim's site identified diode waveshaper.  Of
course, maybe I was not looking in the right places.  I kept getting
distracted by all the other cool stuff to look at there. :-)

LOL... he said he had a way, but it was complex. Maybe he copied
YOUR diode waveshaper...    ;^P

add the decoupling caps and the component count goes up 100%

(but of course, that's the right way to do it :^)
