you guys should see some of the arguments on the nord modular list due to
HTML posts :P

but yeah... even for an outlook user HTML can be annoying... especially when
people have ugly fonts or crazy formatting... replying is also a pain in the
ass... it can totally weird out formatting.

now for everyone to set it their stuff to plain text if they are an outlook
user [come on, you know you are]:
[similar settings should be used for Eudora too]

on the menu bar go: tools > options
in options, select the send tab.
now on the check boxes, de-select "reply to messages in the format which
they were sent". then on the mail sending format section of the window, have
it set to plain text. for the plain text setting, have it set to MIME with
encoding set at none.

this way, HTML emails are converted to plain text, and you don't have to
ever worry about HTML emails. if you do want to use HTML, in the message you
are sending just hit format > Rich Text [HTML].
