I had 360V DC between my mains ground and the telephone line ground. 
Guess what happend when I connected my ISDN-cable to my computer a 
couple of years ago. I ran amok the day I found that out and tried to 
find someone who was responsible for that wiring. Noone cared about that 
problem, and all the help got was am insulation transformer from the 
telephone company to power my computer.

There is still some potential between my living room, the cable tv and 
the rest of the flat, but wasn't that much anymore last time I checked.
