Apple G3 boards are readily available, also have the Forth based
OpenFirmware plus take standard PCI cards and memory.  For this you'd want
to pick a Biege G3 board as it has onboard video also.  Complete desktop
Beige G3's are in the $100 range these days.  They're a bit faster then a
typical sparcstation4 or 5.

An old pizza box does have a higher geek factor...
