Yes, he's using some leftover stock from a previous synth design. However,
he has gotten confirmation from the people who are in a position to
manufacture new Curtis chips, that new ones can indeed be manufactured, if
they are needed in the future. It sounds like he's hoping to keep the
production of analog synths going for quite awhile. 

I really hope his business flourishes. I have a strong nostalgic desire to
see new Curtis synth chips being made again.  :)
