[sdiy] philips oscilloscope, any good?

A few more notes on buying scopes on ebay:

1) Make sure to read the description and terms VERY carefully. Generally,
you don't want to buy a scope that doesn't power up or show a trace unless
you're really good at fixing that sort of thing.

2) Don't forget to add anywhere from $20 to $50 (or more) for shipping.
Scopes are heavy, and some companies tack on extra "handling charges".
Again, read those terms and conditions carefully.

3) If the seller is in the state where you live, they will often have to
charge you sales tax. Again, refer to rule #1.
