>but about "the first circuit bent tv"... arhhh i hate some people. this is
>the same person whose claim to fame was "the first circuit bent ipod", which
>was a guitar keychain inside an ipod's shell, no ipod guts at all! someone
>should gather all the links showing how to make 'wigglevision' and
>oscilloscopes out of TVs and send the links to him :P

it irked me too, i guess it was sorta one of the reasons i figured
i'd waste synth-diy's time with it: in case anyone in this mob had
actually done anything 'better', (not necessarily earlier).. or
otherwise interesting. on the one hand. on the other hand, i knew
it'd be a 'bitchslap' topic, as in 'why i oughta...'

its not a beam-swinging match, by any means, or at least i know some
of us don't have much beam to swing, but the whole 'built an
oscillioscope out of <blah>' vibe is pretty interesting, and having
just done my first 'serious' vocal session staring at pretty techRTA
visualizations of my track, i can say that there's tons of room in
the 'whoo pretty lights' realm of synthesis.

it ain't all about rusty caps or bloodied transistors, you know .. i
wish i knew how to turn my TV's into scopes with the rubbish i have
at hand, it'd at least be a functional use of the damn things for a
change .. the TV's i mean, not my hands.
