   Radio Shack an other places sell VGA to NTSC converters for something 
around $45 or so.  My advice would be to try working with a VGA monitor 
simply because it's easier to deal with, they are pretty tolerant on 
voltage levels, and most everyone has a spare monitor lying about (or at 
least I do!).
