Ahh but the stupid, unwashed masses will want it to
sound just like it did when they *boffed* Brittney in
the back seat. They will not notice :^(

Sadly, it will have staying power. They will always
remember the night with Brittney and will focus on
THAT music forever. There is a maybe five year window
for acquiring music... in the teen age years. Most
folks will never leave that window. See "Disco must
die"...
"Rap is Crap"... etc. My mom likes Glenn Miller
(well so do I :^)
Check out the 'oldies' stations. They target
demographic (age) groups. The baby boomers were the
biggest group ever, so Led Zepplin has more staying
power. I even like it now, although I hated it when it
first came out. Now its a 'classic'.
The people on synth-diy are probably (and gratefully)
immune to this phenomena. I like music even if it is
RAP or whatever. I was kidnapped as a young man and
drugged, then forced to listen to the album cut of
Donna Summer's "Love to love you, Baby". It opened
my mind - there was good stuff happening in the track,
even if it was the hateful "disco" music that was
driving rock acts from the charts.
Too bad so few people really 'like' music :^P
