Hey, try listening to some modern "country" music.  That is, the kind of 
stuff coming out of Nashville these days.  Those guys (and gals) LOVE the 
Auto-Tune, at least as much as the little kiddie singers on the Disney Channel do.  
Shania Twain's vocals are easily as fake and processed as her, um, other parts.  
I hate to think what Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, or Patsy Cline would have 
sounded like through one of those things.  There's something sadly ironic about 
the whole thing.  I mean, these "artists" are always singing about roots and 
down-home livin' and gettin' back to basics and keepin' it real and all that.
