four-disc set Metalvelodrome:

I always laugh when I read that, especially that it is performed *by*
cheap electronics and junk, rather than *on* them. I guess Merzbow
identifies very closely with his instruments, and his jars of baby
food. >;]P  Since then he has gone so ghetto as to do some laptop
shows, but he was using effects pedals and scrap metal when I saw him
(them) play.
