Rom "C" failed in the test and this is the reason I get no sound sometimes
- all I get is a very low frequency drone, like when I trigger the MS20
with no KBRD voltage.
I took the whole darn thing apart AGAIN and this time cleaned the 'tits'
with swap and isopropyl and light resurfacing with super fine sandpaper.
I tested the diodes , ALL of them, they were fine.IOW no prob in KBRD
mechanics etc.
After I cleaned it I fired it up and guess what ? All notes play now !
(Still in pieces on bench)
Now I put it back together and turned it on, and for some odd reason it
decided to "Initialise Memory on its own :(
So now I have no sounds , a 'dead' Rom C chip.
So my next move is to reload the sounds.
Where the heck do I get em' and why doesn't the machine load in it's Rom
sounds (it loads em from Memory Card only )
