YES!!!  Peter is quite correct about this.  More importantly, this is the sad 
case with the U-20.  If you reinitialize it, you will lose ALL of the patches 
(well, actually, they'll become the same useless "INIT PATCH"...)  You would 
need to reload the patches via MIDI Sysex.  I don't know where you'd get that 
data, and there was never a ROM card that contained the factory patches.
