[sdiy] TR606 MIDI mod... like Colin Fraser's for TB303?

Using my '606 again, I'd like just a little more control over triggering; so I
wondered whether anyone has done a MIDI mod for the 606 similar to Colin
Fraser's mod for the '303 shown at http://www.colinfraser.com/mb303/index.html
- basically intercept the digital lines between the microprocessor and the
synth... MIDI out allows recording of the internal sequencer, MIDI in triggers
the synth...

I've got the service docs somewhere, so may try this myself (if I get the time!)
but before I do, I just thought I'd check whether anyone has already done it :)
(Google didn't turn up anything useful)
