[sdiy] MN3102 ----> CD4047 don't really need the 4007?

I'm putting together the LFO clock section of my Dimension C Clone. I'm
using a 4007/4047 combo for the clock instead of the original MN3102 - using
a circuit similar to ADA's (4007 used like in the Arp Quadra phaser
though...).
I haven't pound out all of the logistics and naturally I'm breadboarding a
prototype version of the LFO/clock to get it right.

It seems to me though that you can implement a CD4047 almost exactly like
the MN3102 using almost the same circuitry as in the Dimension C schematic
without using the 4007 at all.

Is there any good reason to go ahead and use it? I could use the extra
space.
