 Hey Tom,

 At Digi-Key, they sell some surface mount tempcos, part number
P1.0KCDCT-ND. Cheaper than dirt too, but the devil itself to deal with
when applying them to a through-hole board. Might be just the very thing
your SMD adapter board was made for! Slap a transistor pair in there and
it's drift free fun for all!
