definitely!... every month or so i make a list of super cheap stuff from a
local chain, just in case i happen to have an extra eighty or hundred
dollars... just from this months list i've already found:

Kurzweil 1000hx $89.99
Roland D110 $84.99 **********
Yamaha Tg33 $39.99 ********
Kawai K-1m $64.99
Kawai K5000r $129.99 ********
Akai S-2000 $162.99
E-mu Esi 2000 $199.99

i swear this store has no idea what some gear sells for... these are just a
few they have now, but i've seen synths listed for 600 LESS than their
average used prices... they have had some incredible deals on Kurzweil
stuff. the **** out ones are what i'm thinking about getting :)

i'm not a fan of soft synths [though i can understand why people love them],
so these cheap synths are really great for people like me who either can't
afford their more powerful counterparts, would like some decent/standard
polyphonic/multitimbral stuff, or don't have the time to build stuff
themselves... we've all got to admit that sometimes D-I-Y can be put aside
for B-U-Y :P

on a more DIY note [well, making GOOD patches to replace the ones left over
from the early 90s is DIY too :P ]... actually i'll continue that in a new
email :P
