The entire e series! Saw a e6400 go for $300.
The ESI-32 has the same filter, even Zplane
and OS for a lot less. That's what about that
one.... Damn good thing I'm still poor. It's got
to hit the magic under $100 zone for me :)
Watch out for the TX16.. It's best left alone
the OS and memory are ridiculous. Typhoon
is the OS you are thinking of and it's now
free on the web. It pretty good but still..Just
say no...
The Mirage has a completely different OS
that turns it into a LA sort of multitimbral
device... Wish I could remember. ..It was
pretty cool. I might still have a copy seems
like samplescape or soundscape...? The
Mirage is memory challenged.
Nothing against ensoniq but I used to be
one of their warranty techs and I prefer
the e-mu or akai... I was a warranty tech
for them too :) A big BTW about the S760
is that it's the JV architecture on a sampler.
I can't get over s760's for $100!!!
All in all the ESI-32, S760 and S1000
are the real prizes right now in terms of
voices , memory, storage, features and
price.
Yes, this is the best of times for a musician
looking to expand his pallet, no doubt about
it :)
