It was suppose to be funny, should I have said
anal-retentive engineering? :) I didn't mean to
single Harry out or hang any sort of label on
him personally. There's lot's of people out there
in diy-land that build bullet proof stuff at a
premium just for the folks who need that kind
of thing....
I'm it if you want to build a real modular without
a home mortgage and I like it that way. You can
still buy a Wildcat board w/pic and dac for $100
bucks. Nobody is ever going to beat that without
loosing money. It's only $40 bucks more that a
RXPro and there is one of those on the board.
It's a well known fact that most things can be
modified in some way to improve performance.
Yves did a great job on the Wildcat and Harry
did good mods to a lot of EFM modules. People
used to change this or that on their Moogs and Arps.
That doesn't mean that everybody that didn't
had a defective or inferior instrument. I stay true
to my mission.
