[sdiy] Dual power supply solution? - Kits vs 2600

I posted a lengthy offlist to Tom on the @nal
retentive
issue.
Here I will just say that in CLOSED systems where the
designer has complete control, they may elect to
delete
voltage references if they do not cause performance
liabilities... or give little improvement for the
BUCK $$$.
In modular systmes with mix 'n match components... one
designer (someone else) may FVCK your design because
they piss in the swimming pool (power rails) and you
did not equip yourself with goggles.
It could, or could not... happen to you.
Tom is indeed in good company 'trusting the rails'. I
prefer not to. Then again I think that BBDs are noisy
sh!tty sounding devices... and others love them for
their warts.
