I may be a noob to Hammonds, but my 7 ton sonic cukoo clock sure sounds good
to my ears. I prefer playing with the drawbars on because the presets aren't
that good. The percussion isn't great either, the only one I like is the
Marimba. I must say it is refreshing to finally hear a real Leslie speaker
as opposed to the emulations in digital effects boxes.

A lot of useful info here, I will be digging. Thanks!

Yes there is a tape deck which I haven't even tried using yet. As I
mentioned above there is a real Leslie and real tonewheels too. The unit has
a nice sounding Spring reverb although I'm not sure it's the best choice for
an organ. An organ through a spring reverb does not sound very natural to
me, but hey, I'm a synth guy what do I care about natural sounding? ;-)
Overall, I am quite happy with what I've gotten for $25. I'm quite suprised
at how many interesting tones this Hammond can make!
