Crazy how it happens. I try to avoid getting off onto another subject

With some systems that's how it's done. It's certainly cheaper that way.
Both Hughes and Echostar have satellite uplink. Alignment is more critical,
and the system is more hazardous to work on because of the transmitter. The
uplink speed isn't stellar but it's better than dial-up. The other hassle
with satellite is the lag it introduces--and of course, rain.

I'm afraid I'm not up on that system or how it works. I've only worked with
C band and parabolic antennas.
