What FX do you use with drum machines to create interesting sounds?

and I am a bit bored of its sound (I enjoyed it on the first 3 or 4 things I recorded, but not that much anymore) so I tried putting it through some of my guitar FX, but did not get anything interesting, so any suggestions would be appreciated.
