(c: Heh heh, I actually _want_ to do the programming. I don't get
to use what I call the "fun skills" writing business report
generators. And I never get to program in assembly language (eh,
nor would I want to in a Windows environment). This is a project
that I believe I can do successfully and one from which I can learn.
Specifically, the filter code. I will start by using Jarek's
algorithm, see where that takes me, but I want something a bit
fancier, like an SVF. - after the damn thing works.

I remember.

That's a good analogy. For this, I'm the guy scaling the cliff as
the elevator goes up and down. Part of this is the challenge of
getting it to happen, especially with junk. We've all got junk. We
all hate to put things in the landfill. If I can do this, others
might too, the schematics and the code, source and executable would
be freely available with "fair use". That's why I wanted to use a
printer port, we've all got them. But that looks too crappy slow,
so I'm going to make an EISA card. I have what I think is a defunct
EISA EIDE/LPT/COM board that doesn't work. It's got two surface
mount chips and has all of the EISA bus connections etched. Off go
the SMD and then I can attach a piece of vector board.
