meh, you could probably write a yucky "API-glue" lib, and just use 
the 'old monochrome video BIOS cmds' to do your external jibbery 
jango too, eh?  no point wasting someone elses API's by not globbing 
it around glue logic for your own..

i kid, i kid!   i know you want it gravenhorst-pure..
