A few years ago, I got some ISA prototyping cards - would be ideal for this kind of thing.

I got them from Maplin electronics, but it's not available any more (I wonder why :) ...).

Farnell part 178-064 - has address decoding on it too (by the looks of it) - although at £100, it's **very** pricey.
