[sdiy] Is the LM13700 at risk too?

With all the talk about the 3280 going away, I was wondering if anyone has
Word on the Street about whether the manufacturers of the LM13700 intend
to keep it alive long-term?
I'm working on notes for my "theory and design of music synthesizers"
class, which I plan to run in Spring 2006 (really, it's an excuse for me
to get into doing synth DIY - the only way to make time for it is to make
it part of my job!) and don't want to be steering the kids towards parts
that will be going the way of other extinct species...
