While I think the PCSYNTH is a great idea too, I just want to clarify that 95%
figure in case it discourages some people wishing to write code for the AVRSYN.
As I understand it, the current AVRSYN code expects an 8MHz clock speed
and uses shift and add multiply routines. The atmega16 can be clocked up to
16MHz and has a hardware multiplier so I think that there is plenty of
room for expansion. Additionally, the atmega32 is pin compatible with the
atmega16 and has twice as much flash memory which should allow for some
decent sized wavetables. I plan on working on the code once I finish my
enclosure.
