Ok got some 'dead' areas on EG-1 Sustain and EG-2 Release.
The wiper voltage swings from 0 to 5V as expected so it defective inputs
on the CD4067B's.
My question is will any version of that chip do, or will say the UBE cause enough
of a voltage difference to make a difference. I'm not so worried about a small error
in EG voltage as I am in VCF parameters.
Roland wants 24 $ for each IC !
So I think thats insane and decided to order some NTE part (TI and others are only
available as SMD :(
I feel a little ashamed to say I haven't found out which type is in the Jupiter-6, but I wouldn't
be surprised to find a Toshiba part.
On a related topic, some of the roatary pots are starting to 'go' and again Roland has
no parts ! God what happened to all the parts ? Did dealers clean them out ?
I looked on ebay but havent found anybody yet . . . I do remember seeing them somewhere.
No wonder I quit servicing , no parts.
Tony
