A friend of a friend sang Barbershop, where one of the roles is Lead
(pronounced "leed").

At a concert they were wearing badges with their names and roles on and a
member of the audience asked him what Lead (pronounced "ledd") meant.

Without hesitation he replied "Ma'am, it means I sing heavy metal".

I thank you...

Steve L.
