We had a technician at Caterpillar who was less than bright. I once asked
him if he knew what happened to the deleted characters when you hit the
"backspace" key.
Later on, when his terminal crashed, I suggested that he check his "bit
bucket" to make that all of those deleted characters hadn't choked up the
back of his machine.
... so he started to unscrew the cover...
