[sdiy] bc847bs and bc857bs - new matched versions

I actually didn't mean either, funny that. The bc847a,b,c are single
trannies, the bc847bs is a transistor pair. I did know 'bout the bcm847bs
being a matched pair, but farnells don't list em here in oz, only the
bc847bs. And they're cheap as chips @ au$0.12 each, so I'm curious to know
if they're useful as a matched pair.
Oh and they're ROHS compliant.
Ben.

Don't know if they are what Ben meant, but Philips have just released
"supermatched" versions of the BC847 and 857, called BCM847 and BCM857.
The datasheet claims hFE matching of 10% and VBE matching of 2mV which, for
those following that thread too, is as good as the specs for the integrated
NPNs on the Zetex 700 Series semicustom array (and the PNPs are in some
respects better).
To (not?) answer the usual question, the data doesn't specify whether the
die is monolithic.
Cheers,
Steve L.
