Good point! So do toenails... never tried using those for that
however, but they are thicker and stronger. :-) :-) :-)
Anyway... all this talk of SMD has gotten me to do more thinking about
the true anti-SMD, the warm and wonderful old friend called the
vacuum-tube. Somehow, as my thoughts turned to vacuum tubes, I began
thinking abou theremins again, then, I just remembered that I somehow
acquired a vidicon as part of my collection of tubes. Putting two and
two together, and perhaps arriving at 9.24351231 * 10^-8, I began to
think of the possible possibility of a circuit that functions somewhat
like a theremin, but is light-detection based rather than RF based.
Has anyone tried anything like this? Must be some SDIY use for this
tube! :-)
