[sdiy] Tool for fitting 3.5mm jack sockets

I use a tool from Sifam - shown at the bottom of this page:

though the 6.8 mm gap is just a few tenths of a mm larger than what
would be ideal.

Anyone with access to a lathe or perhaps even a decent drill press could
make such a tool from steel with a bit of filing or milling.   Maybe a
6mm nut-driver could be drilled out to have a 6mm circular hole, and
then with a bit of work with a file, material could be removed to leave
the two sticking-out bits.
