Well...that and we have a generation of people who love to blow things
off and don't basically take communication seriously. I never ignore
emails NOR do I let my answering machine pick up for me unless I'm dead
tired or something. Because people are important to me.
Near everybody I call anymore it's their stupid answering machine I
get and they rarely call back in any kind of reasonable time...even if I
have my bench cluttered with a complex mess that I'm working on for
them. It's so irritating. If I could blow up every message machine and
message ID on the planet...man would I do it. Then people could decide
"ok do I want to communicate at all or not?" again. I have an idea
that..if people had phones...they would answer the thing then :-)
The LEAST people should do is rap off a quick "I'm really busy
now, I'll keep this on my desktop til I can get to it".
