Hopefully not a daft question....
Assume:-
1) I have a VCO setup so that 2V input control voltage sets the VCO to C1
(65.4Hz) and thus being equivalent to MIDI Note number 26.
2) I have the TUNE control centred for 0V to the VCO with no other input
signal
3) I then play MIDI Note 69 (to apply a voltage of 4.75V) - I will have A3 @
440Hz.
Question, what would be the nominal footage setting on the Octave control
for that VCO, 4', 8' or what?
Also, when we refer to Octave 1 or Octave 5, for example, is the assumption
that the Octave starts at A (which would seem logically correct) or start at
C or F depending upon the keyboard you are using (apologies to those
non-keyboard members!)?.
