Huh, I think I saw one of those shows.

At least I've seen SMG and GK any number of times, can't recall whether I 
ever saw them on the same bill or not.

I lived in St. Louis (where GK hailed from, I remembered first hearing 
them on the "Pointessential" local compilation, saw their first show at 
The Other World) until 98, and then spent three years in Champaign-Urbana, 
IL, and saw any number of SMG shows at - oh hell, I can't remember the 
name of the club now! It had used to be a movie theater, and they still 
showed movies there from time to time. Aaack, I can't believe I can't 
remember the name of the place. Spent many hours there in younger days.

I remember being so jealous of Doug Firley's Matrix-12. He was only using 
it to trigger samples... so much synth not being used...
