here's another anecdote : a couple of years ago I was
working in a company with a young guy (24) who
also used to sing in a rap band and to be a DJ at times.
Once I was talking about old analog synths and
modulars and he asked "what is a modular ?"
He never heard that word before... So I picked up
a few pics on the web to show him, and he said
"oh I see...". But the first 4 or 5 pics I found
showed only the synths. The 6th one also featured
a musician beside the modular (I think it was a
member of TD), so you could really grasp the size
of the thing. And the guy said : "wow ! that's big !
I thought it could fit in my pocket..."
