sure... often you had to wait overnight for 7 sec. of sound...
and you'd better set all the parameters of your MusicV patch
right from the beginning, otherwise you could end up with
a sine, or just random noise...

I'm afraid I don't remember anything of the sort...
That was when I was studying at Ircam in Paris,
and shortly after my arrival they upgraded to Digital Vax...
As for MusicV, AFAIK, Csound is the latest offspring...
