Reminds me of an LP I have ("Sobrietas" by Ad Visser) which shows the 
artist in front of some weird studio setup arranged around a PDP11.

Does someone here know if he really used his "superclean dreammachine"  
(as it's called on the LP cover) or if this was just to comply with the,
erm, digital aesthetics of the time?
