[sdiy] Learning electronics now - was Real cause of DIY death

I've gotten all of my best junk at hamfests. I didn't go there to hang out
with the old folks, I went there to to score cool junk. I've even bought
synths at hamfests.

Having said all that, I haven't been to one in six years. Between ebay and
a general decline in interest you can't get as much great junk anymore.
Some of the really good ones in this area have dried up completely.
