ok let's get mathematical. ;^P
My first statement "people are dumb"
is an opinion. Or it could be a given... that is a
quantity of intelligence. Mean Value = Dumb
I could say "People are as smart as the mean
value of their smartness" on the 'average'
Now, are those who watch a larger portion
of TV 'dumber' than that average ???
imho, yes. :^P
what evidence do I present ???
The TV guide. LOOK at what people watch on TV.
There's precious little 'Discovery Channel' and
an awful lot of "Fear Factor"
c'mon. these people are amused by watching other
people dangle from high places, and eat bugs. What
could be dumber ???
Sorry if I've dissed your favorite show.
I (otoh) do not watch TV except in passing... meaning
when I'm passing a TV I ask those who are watching
"what show is that". I do not want to be TOTALLY
ignorant, but it is seldom that I get 'enlightened'
either.
I will refrain from going (specifically)'political'
but look at some of the news we are expected to
believe. Obviously, some other people agree with my
"TV watchers are dumber" hypothesis...
I usually spend my time doing synth-diy. Am I less
dumb than the guy who thinks a thumb is a hook to hold
on to a beer-can with... you decide :^P
