Except that you top over the shellac with lacquer. The lacquer isn't going
to be cut with alcohol. Besides, who sprays alcohol all over their studio?
Also, shellac takes literally days to dissolve in pure alcohol. A casual
contact would not dissolve it. Shellac is also the easiest finish / topcoat
to repair of them all. You simply go over it again with a rag of shellac.
Perfect fix.
