I do not completely agree with your take on the
ethnic / foreign channels.
They exist mostly to serve those who have those
ethnic / foreign backgrounds and are living in
a foreign (to them) country).
For those viewers, ethno-centricity is EXACTLY
the point.
Its only for brave souls (and few) who can try to
mine the information from them. I will admit that
it is a rare Indian movie that I can watch (unless it
is subtitled or dubbed, most aren't).
On the music front it IS different... as a 'universal
language' almost anyone could benefit...
But in most cases, the ethnic folks are just watching
old reruns, just like everyone else. YAWN....
