Left field thinking.

What you need to do is rip the DVD to your hard drive using Smart Ripper 2.41 (do a google).  This has a check box to demacrovision the DVD when doing this.  Burn this new DVD and play in your player and record.

Else play it in a borrowed demacrovisioned DVD player :)

Else buy a macrovision stripper box.
